Are there species of octopus that will tolerate living with others?

**Thanks to CJ Oster for submitting this question**
Question:
James,

Are there any octopuses that will get along with another of the same species?
Answer:
Yes, but....

One of the Eledone species (Eledone moschata or Eledone cirrhosa, forgot which one) will. Getting one shipped from Europe will be true challenge. Adult Bathypolypus arcticus do OK in groups. This deep-sea octopus is even harder to get unless you know ground trawlers on the North East coast of North America, Greenland or the North Sea. Other Bathypolypus may also do OK in groups.
