Biomolecular Resource Facility Cores

Peptide Synthesis Core
The Peptide Synthesis Core produces peptides for a variety of applications utilizing solid-phase Fmoc chemistry and state-of-the-art automated synthesis instrumentation.

Protein Chemistry Core
The Protein Chemistry Core is a centralized laboratory that provides investigators at UTMB with state-of-the-art analytical tools including N-terminal protein sequencing, internal protein sequencing, amino acid analysis, DNA sequencing, and carbohydrate analysis at reasonable cost to the investigator.

Protein Synthesis and Biomarker Core
In close collaboration with investigators, the Protein Synthesis and Biomarker Core provides services for the production and purification of bacterial and yeast proteins.

Separations Technology Core
In close collaboration with investigators, the Separations Technology Core provides sample preparation and separation solutions to achieve the highest quality of proteomics expression data possible.

Mass Spectrometry Core
The Mass Spectrometry Core is dedicated to providing a wide range of mass spectral analyses to UTMB investigators.

Proteomics Bioinformatics Core
As part of the Proteomics Section and consistent with its mission, the goal of the Bioinformatics Core is to assist researchers at UTMB in their analyses of differentially abundant proteins.
