Scholarships

The individual schools (Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine and Nursing) at UTMB all offer scholarships. Please contact your school's student affairs office to inquire about scholarship application processes.

Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students (SDS)
This scholarship may be available to students enrolled in the Schools of Medicine, Nursing and Health Professions who also meet the following criteria:

  1. The student must be a citizen or national of the United States or a lawful, permanent resident of the United States, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands or American Samoa.
  2. The students must be of “exceptional financial need” as defined by current federal regulations.
  3. The student must come from a disadvantaged background.

UTMB must apply for these funds annually and is not guaranteed to receive funding. If we receive funding for a particular program, we will award those funds to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis.
