Export Control Compliance Seminar - Nov. 7

Do you hear these terms: export control, deemed exports, restricted access area forms and visual compliance; but, you do not understand what export control issues are and why you must consider them in your job functions at UTMB? Then, this Export Control Compliance Seminar is for you.
Compliance with U.S. export laws has become one of the hottest topics among faculty, staff, and research administrators.  Come and listen to the Managing Partner of Burton PLLC and current Houston District Export Council President, Jamie Joiner JD, explain the expansiveness of the U.S. export laws, including the new reforms. 
In addition, UTMB’s Legal Officer & Export Control Officer, Frances Streeter JD, along with Sr. Legal Officer for Immigration, Frank Garcia JD, will review the current export control policies at UTMB.
Who Should Attend:  Research faculty, administrators, students, and staff. There is limited seating available in this classroom setting.
