On Saturday, April 19 the emergency generator that serves John Sealy Hospital will be serviced. As a result, there may be a temporary loss of power, which will last no longer than five minutes.
Hospital administration has developed a contingency plan, for emergency lighting, in case of a power loss. Staff will be placed throughout the hospital to monitor the power. If there is a loss of power, the generator will be manually started and emergency power will be restored within five minutes.
In case of inclement weather, the project will be postponed to Sunday, April 20.
