Baytown Sun, Jan. 6, 2007 The 80th Texas Legislature session will meet in Austin on Tuesday to discuss their plans for 2007.  District 23 Representative Craig Eiland said several issues will be discussed this year, including corrections on some laws passed during the special session. Two of his priorities are funding for the University of Texas Medical Branch, and coastal windstorm insurance. He will also work on “adjusting the Robin Hood formula” to relieve school districts that have been “pushed into ‘giver’ status” despite their deteriorating buildings and lack of books and computers.
