UTMB looking for teen volunteers to help patients for summer

Registration deadline is May 1For immediate release: April 26, 2007 GALVESTON, Texas - The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is looking for dedicated young men and women to assist patients, visitors and staff through participation in UTMB's 2007 Summer Junior Volunteer Program. This program offers motivated young adults between the ages of 15 and 17 the opportunity to attain worthwhile volunteer experiences, investigate career interests and sharpen communication skills while providing an invaluable service to UTMB's hospitals and clinics. Applicants must be able to commit to at least eight hours per week for the six week duration of the program, throughout June and July.
