Squash: More players coming inside

Houston Chronicle (Internet / Print) 05/31/06 http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/nb/aldine/sports/3915257.html Check out the different fitness clubs and recreation centers across Houston and chances are you might find racquetball courts in use, but ask for the squash courts and you probably won't find many. Like racquetball, squash is played on an enclosed indoor court with the four walls, ceiling and floor all considered part of the legal playing area. But court dimensions and markings are different between the two sports. "Racquetball bounces a lot; a squash ball doesn't bounce a whole lot," said Dr. Martin Colman, 64, a lifelong squash player. Colman, a Galveston resident with his wife Elinor, is the Chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
