Fountain to be center of meditation garden

Galveston County Daily News (Internet / Print) 05/31/06 Every time Charles Meek passes one of the Rosenberg fountains he helped to restore, he feels a sense of accomplishment. “We can say to ourselves, ‘We did that,’” he said. “Of course, we didn’t do it alone.” Meek is part of a project involving the ninth, and probably the last, of the Rosenberg fountains to be reconstructed. The fountain will be part of a meditation garden at the William Temple Episcopal Center, 427 Market St. The garden will be the center’s third. “This and the other gardens, a rock meditation garden on the south and a labyrinth meditation garden on the east side, are just a part of the center’s mission of embracing UTMB and the Galveston community with spiritual outreach and hospitality by promoting the awareness of spirituality in health care,” Cleta Sireno said.
