Integrative Medicine: Colds and flu

Dr. Juliet McKee, assistant professor of family medicine, wrote about the use of a variety of herbal remedies and dietary supplements that may be helpful in the treatment of colds and flu. "A healthy diet including plenty of fruits and vegetables, vitamins C and D supplementation, adequate rest, exercise, stress reduction and good hygiene measures is the best offense against common viral URI [upper respiratory tract infections] illnesses," she wrote.
