Tips to prevent unintentional injuries

Evidence indicates unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in children younger than 14, and half of these injuries occur at home, wrote UTMB Drs. Sally Robinson and Keith Bly in their Keeping Kids Healthy column. “We can avoid, or at least minimize, such accidents by taking preventive steps and giving children basic safety guidelines beginning in their preschool years.”
