In this guest column, third-year medical student Roxi Radi writes that the free clinic at St. Vincent’s House has been an invaluable resource for the Galveston community for more than 15 years. The clinic is run by UTMB students Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It provides medical care to more than 1,500 uninsured patients a year. Without this free service, these patients would have few places to turn. To continue to keep this great program going, the volunteers at St. Vincent’s will don their performer hats at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Grand 1894 Opera House for the annual St. Vincent’s Benefit Concert.
